Video Lab
Test-generate a video through this Design System without opening Remotion: describe the source, draft the script against the producer's authoring contract, edit the beats, check the compiled plan, render, and take the MP4. Every frame uses the contract, the components in video/remotion.tsx, the persistent CTA banners, and the registered footage and cover catalog.
Start the lab
The lab runs locally beside this viewer. From the repository root:
npm run timds -- video lab --serve Drafting with Claude is on when the machine has Anthropic credentials (ant auth login or ANTHROPIC_API_KEY). Drafting also reads the producer's prompt blocks from the built Design System index, so run npm run timds -- check before starting the lab. Without credentials, paste a compile request under Script; compiling, planning, and rendering need neither a model nor the index.

What the lab does with your words
| You | The Design System |
|---|---|
| Exact question | Opens the video on the question intro card, spoken once, and titles the cover. |
| Answer beats (role · summary · narration) | Role eyebrows, headline typography, footage chains from b-roll-* keys, silent reading-speed timing. |
| Nothing | The CTA outro, the persistent banners (subscribe pill on long-form, PierceLaw.com/avoid-probate on Shorts), watermark, brand fonts, and the cover subject from thumb-subject-*. |
Saved lab inputs live under video/lab/ and are validated by npm run check:video. A lab input is a preview fixture, not a production: promote the copy into a production folder when it is ready to be voiced and published.
